Day Trip @ CNE

I was trying to remember the last time I was at CNE, it must have been when I was still in high school. I remember seeing the Air Show, SuperDogs and spending a significant amount of time in The Farm. I also remember the place being huge, and it felt like there was endless amount of walking…

Well, I must say this time around the experience was very different. The place was much smaller than I remembered. I enjoyed taking my stroll from Princes’ Gates through the food trucks, into the exhibition/warehouse building, around the BMO field and midway booths, and through the Better Living Centre.

Weather was lovely on Friday! Fully enjoyed soaking in the sun while weather is still warm – only 2 more months until winter comes…

To prepare for the wedding, I have been carefully watching my diet. But CNE day has got to be an exception! Who can stay away from all the food trucks?! And of course, in the end, I succumbed to pulled pork poutine. I have secretly convinced myself that the poutine carbs will be walked off by the end of the day.

Displays were beautiful in the Shoppers’ Market. I think I got too busy looking and forgot about taking more photos!

The Garden Show had a few stands with succulents. Since I am just getting back into growing my own succulents, it was an enjoyable stroll through the booths. The plants looked so happy and healthy – and in the back of my mind, I was feeling bad for my 2 orchids still sitting at home, in the process of healing…
